Miami University awarded 856 degrees to students during fall commencement exercises Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, in Millett Hall. Miami University is a public university located in southwestern Ohio, offering 120 degree programs in humanities, science, engineering, business, education and fine arts. Students with more than one listing have earned additional degrees or honors.

The following local residents have been named to the President's List at Clemson University for the fall 2013 semester:

The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, has honored the following Dean's List students for academic excellence during the fall semester of the 2013-2014 academic year. Dean's List recognition is given to those students registered for 12 or more semester hours whose grade point ratio is 3.2 or higher with no grade below a C for the previous semester's work.

The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, honored the following students with Gold Stars for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2013-2014 academic year. Gold Stars are awarded to students that achieve a 3.7 grade point average or higher. Students that achieve Gold Star recognition are also placed on The Citadel's Dean's List.
